This documentary short is a hoʻokupu, an offering to guardians keeping watch over our beloved mother—earth at this site. Kiaʻi, guardians have taken a stand at Maunakea, Hawaiʻi island to stop further desecration, and ruin of resources. This work speaks for our mountain, giving her voice, by honoring spirit, our ancestors and all who hold the earth sacred. Hawaiians and allies the world over awaken to the need for us to protect and care for our lands, waters and resources— Kuʻu ʻĀina Aloha. Completed in 2020, the film captures the spirit and aloha ʻāina that Mauna Kea inspires. Kū Kiaʻi Mauna!
