Podcasts are more than Joe Rogan or "My Favorite Murder." The rise of the scripted podcast aka serial dramas are attracting big name talent, especially in 2020 where film production came to a complete stop. Amazon's HOMECOMING and Bravo's DIRTY JOHN are recent success stories of podcasts that have been adapted into TV shows and there are more coming in the pipeline. As a safe mode for content creation during a pandemic, the opportunities abound to diversify the podcast space for unique, innovative and diverse stories. Moderated by YOMYOMF creative director Philip W. Chung (a digital content studio founded by Justin Lin), he chats with the likes of Matt Schrader, the creator of BLOCKBUSTER podcast, the first "biopod" of its kind, Holly Hines of Spotify Studios and Josh Lindgren at CAA.
